Dr. Jollie-Trottier completed a 2-year research  fellowship in Health Psychology at UND School of Medicine and one-year of specialty training at the Eating Disorder and Neuropsychiatric Research Institutes in Fargo, ND. She serves as a Community Advisor and IRB member for the Tribal Nations Research Group. Dr. Jollie-Trottier is an alumna of the American PsychologicalAssociation Research Fellowship. Her dissertation, Predictors and Overweight and Obesity in Northern Plains American Indian Children was published and she served a leader researcher on a grant sponsored by the Healthy Weight Collaborative, where a team of health advocates in Belcourt ND developed a culturally sensitive obesity messaging campaign.
